D1 Academics is not age-based or grade-based. Every student is assessed and placed in the training tier that matches their current readiness and then progresses as mastery is demonstrated.

The D1 Academics STEM+AI Foundational Pathway is designed for learners who are developing consistent academic habits while strengthening core literacy, numeracy, and early computational thinking skills.
Students at this stage:

- Can engage in structured tasks with light guidance
- Are ready for systematic skill-building in STEM
- Benefit from predictable weekly learning routines
This stage focuses on:
Establishing self-management skills, focus duration, and problem-solving fluency before progressing to more accelerated STEM+AI pathways.

D1 Academics STEM+AI Pathways represent instructional placement levels within the D1 Academic Training System. Placement is determined through structured assessment of literacy, executive function, and STEM readiness to ensure developmentally appropriate instruction.
